PepsiCo India Turns Your Living Room into a Snack Bar with New DIY Nacho and Bhel Kits

PepsiCo India wants you to stop just opening a packet of chips and start building your own snack. The company has rolled out two ready-to-assemble snacking kits, the Doritos Loaded Nachos Kit and the Kurkure Mast Bhel Chinese Style Kit, aimed at people who want something fun and fuss-free to put together at home.

The kits are pitched at the moments when snacks bring people together: house parties, family get-togethers, movie nights and festive celebrations. Both are now available on e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms across the country, so a party platter can land at the door within minutes.

The Doritos Loaded Nachos Kit, priced at Rs 225 for a 226-gram pack, comes with Doritos Nacho Cheese chips along with three toppings: a black bean and tomato salsa, a pineapple salsa and a cheese sauce. Everything needed for a plate of loaded nachos is in the box, and those who like to go the extra mile can pile on jalapeños, bell peppers, sweet corn and fresh coriander.

The Kurkure Mast Bhel Chinese Style Kit gives a desi favourite an Indo-Chinese twist. Priced at Rs 110 for a 150-gram pack, it mixes Kurkure Shots and jowar crisps with Schezwan and Manchurian sauces. It’s bhel, but with the punch of a street-side Chinese stall. Add chopped onions, capsicum, spring onions and coriander, and it is ready to serve.

What ties the two products together is the do-it-yourself idea. Instead of handing over a finished snack, each pack gives people the pieces and lets them assemble it the way they like. That small bit of involvement turns snacking into something closer to an activity, especially when friends or family gather around the table.

The company said the new kits are meant to widen its range across different eating occasions, from casual weekend evenings to festive gatherings. The move also reflects how Indian snacking habits are changing, with consumers looking for food that feels a little more special than a regular packet of chips but needs far less effort than cooking from scratch.

Leaning on online and quick-commerce channels is a deliberate choice. These platforms have become the go-to option for last-minute party supplies, and placing the kits there puts them right where hosts are shopping when guests are already on their way.

With the festive season in full swing and house parties picking up, PepsiCo India is betting that Indians are ready to roll up their sleeves, open a kit and build their own snack.
