Dr. Mukul Sain, Faculty Member at the College of Dairy Science and Technology, RAJUVAS, Bikaner, has been honoured with the Best PhD Thesis Award at an international conference organized at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar—India’s first agricultural university and a pioneer of the Green Revolution.
The award recognizes his doctoral research conducted at ICAR–National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, entitled “Design and Performance Evaluation of Different Ohmic Cell Configurations for Milk Heating.” The findings not only advance scientific knowledge but also offer promise for small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs seeking affordable processing technologies.
Earlier, Dr. Sain had also received six awards for Best Poster and Oral Presentations of his PhD work at various national and international conferences and seminars, highlighting the consistent impact of his research.
G.B. Pant University, one of India’s premier agricultural institutions, provided the platform for this international conference, themed “Challenges and Opportunities: Towards a Sustainable Future through Agriculture and Allied Sciences.” The event brought together scientists, academicians, and professionals from across the globe, making the recognition even more prestigious.
On receiving the award, Dr. Sain expressed his deep gratitude to his guide, Dr. P. S. Minz, Senior Scientist (Dairy Engineering), NDRI, Karnal, along with his PhD advisory committee, friends, and family. He also extended his thanks to the Dean, CDST-RAJUVAS, and his colleagues for their unwavering support.
This recognition is not just a personal milestone but also a reflection of the strength of India’s leading agricultural and dairy research institutions—NDRI, Karnal, where the innovative work was carried out, and Pantnagar University, which provided the international stage for acknowledgment. For young researchers, Dr. Sain’s journey stands as an inspiring example of how dedication and innovation can transform a challenging idea into global recognition.
