Mars to Pump $1.2 Billion Into EU Operations by 2026

Mars, the maker of M&M’s and Skittles, announced plans to invest €1 billion ($1.18 billion) in its European Union operations by the end of 2026. The investment will focus on strengthening manufacturing, advancing sustainability initiatives, and expanding its innovation pipeline.

The fresh commitment builds on more than €1.5 billion that Mars has already invested in EU manufacturing over the past five years. The company currently runs 24 factories across 10 EU countries and employs around 25,000 people in the region.

The announcement comes as Mars awaits regulatory approval in Europe for its $36 billion acquisition of Pringles maker Kellanova, a deal that has already cleared antitrust review in the U.S.
