Eight high-potential Indian startups will represent the country at Gulfood 2026 in Dubai, showcasing innovative agri-food products, technology-led solutions and export-focused offerings aligned with the government’s ‘Farm to Foreign’ vision, the commerce and industry ministry said.
The startups were selected through a national-level screening process from a pool of over 100 applicants, the ministry added.
India’s participation at Gulfood 2026, scheduled from January 26 to 30 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is being led by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
A key highlight of the Indian presence is the BHARATI Pavilion, APEDA’s flagship platform to promote export-ready agri-food and agri-tech startups. Located in the Startup Zone, the pavilion aims to connect Indian innovators with global buyers, investors and trade partners.
The Indian Pavilion also features a dedicated Culinary Area, where a renowned chef will conduct live demonstrations of Indian cuisines. The experiential zone is designed to showcase India’s rich culinary heritage, diverse regional flavours and the versatility of indigenous ingredients, enhancing buyer engagement and global appreciation of Indian food products.
Overall, India’s footprint at Gulfood 2026 spans 1,434 square metres—nearly double last year’s area—and includes 161 exhibitors across categories such as processed foods, fresh and frozen products, pulses, grains and cereals, beverages, value-added food products and agri-export startups.
