LT Foods has teamed up with KidZania India to introduce an immersive, first-of-its-kind basmati rice “factory” experience aimed at educating children about food processing and the journey of rice from farm to fork.
The experiential centre, set up within KidZania’s indoor edutainment parks, allows children aged 4 to 14 years to step into the role of production engineers and participate in a simulated basmati rice manufacturing process. Through a 25-minute interactive session, participants engage in activities such as quality checks, operating machinery, and understanding key stages of production.
The experience walks children through the entire value chain—from paddy procurement and pre-cleaning to ageing, de-husking, de-stoning, colour sorting, and final packaging—offering insights into the technology and precision behind basmati rice processing.
Upon completing the activity, participants receive a 200g pack of basmati rice along with a digital certificate, reinforcing the hands-on learning experience.
Speaking on the initiative, Ashwani Arora, Managing Director and CEO of LT Foods, said the collaboration aims to build stronger consumer connections by helping young audiences understand how everyday food products are made, while promoting values such as quality, innovation, and responsibility.
Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of KidZania India, noted that the initiative brings to life a staple product found in most Indian households, enabling children and families to better appreciate the science and processes behind it, while strengthening long-term brand engagement.
The company said the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of creating meaningful consumer experiences and building early brand affinity through education-led engagement.
