Haryana Pollution Board Imposes Rs. 22.65 Lakh Environmental Compensation on Jubilant FoodWorks

Jubilant FoodWorks has received a directive from the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) to deposit an environmental compensation amount of Rs 22.65 lakh over alleged regulatory non-compliance at one of its outlets in Faridabad.

According to a regulatory filing made by the company, the order was issued on May 12, 2026, and relates to a store located in Ballabgarh, Faridabad, which was allegedly operating without obtaining prior Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

The company said it received the communication from the pollution control board on May 21 and has been directed to deposit the compensation amount within one month.

Jubilant FoodWorks clarified that the alleged violation pertains to environmental clearances and stated that the financial and operational impact of the order is not material to the company’s business.

The company further said it is contesting the order and has deposited the amount under protest in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Jubilant FoodWorks operates quick-service restaurant brands including Domino’s Pizza, Popeyes and Dunkin’ in India.
