Britannia collaborates with Accenture for digital operations

Biscuits and bakery maker Britannia Industries is tying up with strategy and consulting firm Accenture for digital acceleration of its operations, reducing IT operational costs and unlocking capital.

“The programme is intensive on modernizing Britannia’s business model by digitizing essential services and processes, letting the company to better respond to changing market trends.

The project will help modernize procurement and supply chain management, accelerate digital onboarding, contract management and procurement processes.

According to Britannia’s executive director & chief financial officer N. Venkataraman, the digital transformation of r business, supported by Accenture, will play a pivotal role in growing their business at speed and scale with data-backed insights and operational efficiencies.

 The partnership will work towards digitizing more than 80 manufacturing units and 50 warehouses, reducing IT operational costs and unlocking capital for innovation and growth initiatives, the company statement said. Accenture’s Products practice managing director Manish Gupta said technology would continue to be a critical enabler for business leaders looking to spot and respond to evolving consumer and market demands.
