Delicut brings just sous-vide with no preservatives, artificial flavours, or colours

An Indian food-tech startup called Delicut is getting some variation in the frozen food industry with its one-of-a-kind product: gourmet frozen sous vide dishes.

As everyone knows that marinated meat has been ruling the market and requires extensive cooking knowledge to achieve the desired end result, Delicut guarantees that all home chefs can effortlessly prepare artisanal dishes similar to those served in their favourite restaurants.

The founders, Vaibhav Malik and Tarun Arora, discovered their passion for the food industry when they became part of a hotel in Goa in 2008. By 2016, they were running two hotels in Goa and two restaurants in Delhi.

As soon as COVID-19 lockdowns were imposed, the idea for Delicut came to light. They saw an opportunity to create a brand that could cater to the growing demand for high-quality, healthy, and preservative-free ready-to-eat meals.

“I saw it has a shelf life and always needs upgrades in terms of concept and interiors over a period of time, which requires constant investments over a period of time, whereas the FMCG market is absolutely opposite, and when a product hits off, it just keeps growing its market cap and goodwill over time,” says Malik.
