DS Group Brings UK’s Ben’s Cookies to India, Plans 10 Stores This Fiscal

Diversified conglomerate DS Group has entered into an exclusive partnership with British dessert brand Ben’s Cookies, marking the iconic cookie chain’s official entry into the Indian market as it seeks to tap into the country’s growing appetite for premium baked goods and desserts.

Founded in 1983 in Oxford’s historic Covered Market, Ben’s Cookies has built a global reputation for its freshly baked, indulgent cookies. The brand will debut in India with its signature “bakery-first” retail concept, where cookies will be baked fresh throughout the day at stores to ensure quality and freshness.

Indian consumers will have access to some of the brand’s most popular flavours, including Milk Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate & Macadamia, and Ginger & Dark Chocolate. An eggless variant will also be available to cater to local preferences. Individual cookies will be priced from ₹325, while premium gifting packs will start at over ₹1,500.

As part of its expansion strategy, DS Group plans to establish eight to ten Ben’s Cookies outlets across India during the current financial year. The company sees the partnership as a significant step in strengthening its presence in the premium food retail segment.

“The arrival of Ben’s Cookies in India marks a significant milestone in DS Group’s strategic expansion within the premium food retail sector,” said Sanskriti Gupta of Ben’s Cookies India. She added that retail expansion will be a key pillar of the brand’s growth strategy in the country.

In addition to physical stores, Ben’s Cookies products will be available through e-commerce channels and food delivery platforms, allowing the brand to reach a wider consumer base.

According to Luke Menezes of Ben’s Cookies, every outlet in India will feature live-oven baking throughout the day, a hallmark of the brand’s global retail experience. Beyond its signature cookies, stores will also serve cookie shakes, coffee, and cookie ice cream sandwiches, creating a broader dessert-focused offering.

The launch comes at a time when India’s premium cookie and dessert market is witnessing strong growth, driven by increasing urban consumption, rising disposable incomes, and growing demand for artisanal and handcrafted food experiences. Industry observers believe the partnership positions Ben’s Cookies to capitalise on this trend while giving DS Group a stronger foothold in the premium indulgence category.
