At Udhampur, Union territory of J&K, the Dept of Horticulture has constructed an Aloe-Vera processing unit, here at Fruit Preservation and Utilization Extension Centre (FPUEC), Horticulture Complex.
The team of facility is working on modern scientific ways for extraction of Aloe-Vera juice and gel using state of the art machinery from leading food business stakeholders.
All the cultivators, farmers and orchardists who are growing or intend to avail the facility to processing and value addition of Aloe-Vera can contact this office on all working days.
Further for the betterment, the Department has urged the unemployed educated youth and start-ups of the district to associate with this office for entrepreneurship opportunities in the value addition of Aloe-vera which has a promising future.
