J&K govt join hands with NZ for transforming sheep farming sectors

The Jammu and Kashmir government has signed an MoU with New Zealand for the revolution of the sheep farming sector in the Union territory.

The agreement between the two sides was signed in the virtual mode and, according to it, the overarching objective is to improve farmers’ remuneration, transfer of technology in research and development, as well as marketing and value addition of sheep products in Jammu and Kashmir.

New Zealand is an important partner in India’s expanding relationship globally, and this year marks the 70th anniversary of the commencement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

This MoU gives both countries an opportunity to strengthen their partnership and resolve to construct a strong edifice of a long-term, mutually reinforcing economic relationship.
