John Abraham with others invest 4 cr in NOTO Ice cream

NOTO, the low-calorie and high-protein ice cream company, announced a Rs. 4 crore investment from actor John Abraham and a slew of venture capital (VC) funds lately.

Titan Capital, Rockstud Capital, and WEH Ventures are among the venture capital firms that have invested with the actor in the pre-Series A round, according to an official release, with several angel investors also participating.

The business, which was founded in 2018 by the couple Varun and Ashni Sheth, will use the funds raised to expand geographically, create products, and hire talent, according to a statement.

“Following our investment in sports, Priya (wife) and I are seeking health and fitness firms with development potential that also connect with our lifestyle, and NOTO is one such business.”

“We regard NOTO as the industry’s premier healthy ice cream, with strong promoters and on-point branding,” Abraham added.

Each 125 mL tub has 75-95 calories, 3 grammes of fat, 75% less sugar, and more protein than typical ice creams, according to the company. It has so far provided 5 lakh units to over 30,000 consumers.
