Magicpin has officially established itself as the largest food delivery app on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), logging an impressive 150,000 orders per day in September. This marks a significant growth trajectory for the hyperlocal delivery startup, which saw a dramatic fifteen-fold increase in daily orders compared to just 10,000 in May 2023.
Since launching on the ONDC network with only 100 daily orders in March 2023, Magicpin has expanded its restaurant partnerships from 22,000 to 70,000, enhancing its offerings and accessibility.
“In the last 15 months, we have captured double-digit market share in major cities, exceeding 10% market share in key markets like Delhi and Bengaluru for overall food delivery,” said Anshoo Sharma, CEO and co-founder of Magicpin. He expressed excitement over the company’s performance, stating, “We are thrilled with Magicpin’s success on ONDC, where we have reached 150,000 daily orders for food delivery and logistics on the network.”
The ONDC, a non-profit initiative established by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), serves as an alternative platform for online shopping. Sharma noted that approximately 90% of food orders from leading buyer apps such as Paytm, Tata Neu, and Ola are now fulfilled by Magicpin. The company has further strengthened its position on the platform through its innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, “Magicpin in a Box,” which powers the front-end operations of other buyer apps on ONDC.
