Marks & Spencer Food along with Foodpanda caters to Asian markets

Marks & Spencer Food along with Foodpanda will catering through food-delivery app in three Asian markets namely Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Both the firms are guarantying orders of packaged foods, along with wine, in just 30 minutes within the vicinity of existing Marks & Spencer Food stores. 

The Duo partnership follows Foodpanda’s development of a grocery delivery service, Pandamart that has been combined into its existing restaurant meal-delivery app. Just recently, Marks & Spencer Food has partnered with HKTV Mall, the homegrown Hong Kong online marketplace. 

The Foodpanda app will enable consumers to order up to 300 food and drink SKUs in Hong Kong and Singapore with immediate effect and in Malaysian, the service launching will take place by end of this month. The products range available between the markets are likely to vary.

“We know our customers across Asia are passionate about Marks & Spencer Food, which is why we’ve partnered with Foodpanda to help get them the products they need as well as supporting those who currently aren’t able to visit stores easily,” said Christine Choi, CEO of Marks & Spencer Asia. 

Pandamart will give free deliveries on minimum purchases of HK$40 in Hong Kong, SG$5 in Singapore, and RM5 in Malaysia. In Singapore, ordering via Foodpanda is currently available only at locations near Wheelock Place, VivoCity, Parkway Parade and One Raffles Place. The date of launching in Malaysia remains subject to Malaysia Control Movement order.
