Mondelēz India Appoints Vinay Subramanyam as Marketing Chief, Nitin Saini to Lead Indonesia

Mondelēz International has appointed Vinay Subramanyam as vice president, marketing for India, while current marketing chief Nitin Saini will move to Indonesia as general manager.

Subramanyam brings more than two decades of experience across consumer goods, brand building, category development and commercial strategy. He joins Mondelēz India from Kellanova, now part of Mars Snacking, where he served as head of marketing for South Asia and was part of the AMEA commercial leadership team.

During his tenure at Kellanova, Subramanyam led category growth, strategic initiatives and marketing programmes across South Asia. Earlier, he held marketing and leadership roles at Pidilite Industries, Britannia Industries and VIP Industries, after beginning his career in sales.

He has also been recognised in Business World’s Top 50 Marketers and Impact’s Top 100 Marketers lists and holds a master’s degree in management from MICA, Ahmedabad.

In his new position, Subramanyam will oversee Mondelēz India’s marketing operations, including brand building, innovation, category development and commercial strategy.

Meanwhile, Nitin Saini will take charge of Mondelēz’s Indonesia business as general manager. During his tenure as marketing chief in India, Saini worked across brand-building and innovation initiatives for the company’s portfolio.

Mondelēz has been present in India for more than 75 years and has a wide portfolio of brands including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk, Cadbury Celebrations, Bournville, 5 Star, Perk, Fuse, Gems, Bournvita, Oreo, Biscoff and Chocobakes.

The company is headquartered in Mumbai and operates manufacturing facilities and offices across several locations in India. The leadership transition comes as Mondelēz continues to focus on brand growth, innovation and expansion across India’s evolving snacking market.
