Nestlé India has strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media regarding the alleged presence of infestation in its MAGGI noodles, asserting that comprehensive quality checks and laboratory analysis have found the product compliant with all food safety and quality standards.
In an official statement, the company described the allegations as baseless and linked them to an unverified social media account. Nestlé India stated that it had not received the product sample from the complainant and had also been unable to establish contact with the individual involved, as the account was reportedly inaccessible.
“We categorically reject the allegations circulating in the media based on an unverified account regarding the presence of infestation allegedly in MAGGI noodles,” a company spokesperson said.
The company further stated that it had submitted a detailed report to the concerned authorities, including quality records of batch and market samples, along with findings from internal testing and independent assessments.
According to Nestlé India, product samples were also sent to an FSSAI-accredited laboratory for further investigation. The laboratory analysis reportedly confirmed adherence to prescribed quality standards and found no evidence of infestation.
Nestlé India reiterated that it follows stringent food safety and quality protocols across all its manufacturing operations and continues to maintain transparency with regulatory authorities.
“We remain fully transparent with the authorities and are confident that the facts and evidence will conclusively establish the truth of the matter,” the spokesperson added.
The company said it is fully cooperating with the authorities and reaffirmed its confidence in the safety, quality, and integrity of its products.
