PepsiCo has revealed two direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites in the US, retailing food items and snacks, as consumers increasingly seek online options to get the daily supplies amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The two direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites namely…PantryShop.com and Snacks.com has been launched offering a wide choice of PepsiCo’s food and beverage brands for purchasing online.

The said sites were developed by in-house e-commerce team of PepsiCo, pulling the company’s end-to-end capabilities to quickly meet consumers’ ever evolving needs.

“Over the last few years, PepsiCo has been working to be a faster, stronger, better company, one that is laser focused on meeting consumer needs and winning in the marketplace. Investing in e-commerce and digital capabilities and talent has been – and will continue to be – a big part of that effort,” said Gibu Thomas, senior vice president and head of e-commerce.

“In these uncertain times, as more and more consumers are using e-commerce channels to purchase food and beverage products, PantryShop.com and Snacks.com offer shoppers another alternative for easy and fast access to products they love.”

PantryShop.com, as the name suggests, offers the brand’s popular pantry brands, including Quaker, Gatorade, SunChips and Tropicana, within categories such as “Rise & Shine,” “Snacking,” and “Workout & Recover”.

The site offers specialized bundles which have been curated “based on affinity research and are designed to meet consumers’ ‘new normal’ such as working and exercising from home and homeschooling”, the FMCG giant said.

Snacks.com platform offers more than 100 Frito-Lay products brands such as Lay’s, cheetos, Tostitos and Ruffles.

PepsiCo also announced that new items will soon be added in the coming months as the site is getting customized to meet consumer choice.

“We’ve seen incredibly strong demand for our snacks during this time, and Snacks.com offers consumers another way to purchase the products they love, delivered right to their door,” said Michael Lindsey, chief transformation & strategy officer for Frito-Lay North America.

“Snacks.com provides our incredibly loyal Frito-Lay shoppers with beloved products like Lay’s Classic potato chips, Doritos Cool Ranch flavored tortilla chips and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos so they can quickly and conveniently fill their pantries”.

Both platforms can be used to ship products as gifts by the consumers successfully dealing with orders within two days of working.
