B2B e-commerce company mjunction was given the auctioneer license by the Spices Board of India, Government of India, to conduct an online auction for Spices Services Limited. And it recently conducted its first-ever e-auction of large cardamom.
At the event on mjunction’s platform, buyers from West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, and Sikkim participated, with offerings from Phek Organic Large Cardamom Producer Co. Ltd., Nagaland. The event concluded with 100% sales and an average sale price of Rs. 562 per kg. Kukkr Technologies, a Bangalore-based spice exporter, developed as the highest bidder at the e-auction.
This is a big digital milestone for spice supply from north-eastern India. According to mjunction MD Vinaya Verma, mjunction is also very keen to explore and provide its technology-backed auction platform with all its value-added services to spice sellers and buyers nationally.
