Emami Agrotech Targets ₹22,000 Crore Revenue in FY27, Bets on Edible Oils and Foods Growth

Emami Agrotech is targeting revenue of around ₹22,000 crore in FY27, up nearly 10% from ₹20,137 crore recorded in FY26, banking on sustained demand for edible oils and an expanding foods business.

The edible oil, biodiesel and foods arm of the Kolkata-based Emami Group expects consumption to pick up during the festive season, supported by stable edible oil prices and inventory replenishment across trade channels.

“We will continue to grow in edible oils and are also making inroads into the foods category with atta, maida, suji, soya nuggets and spices,” Sudhakar Rao Desai, CEO and Director of Emami Agrotech, told PTI.

The company markets edible oils under the Healthy & Tasty and Best Choice brands and has expanded its food portfolio with products including atta, maida, suji, soya chunks and spices under brands such as Mantra Spices, Himani Best Choice and Advans Soya Chunks.

Desai said demand is expected to strengthen over the next few months as festive season consumption rises. Stable commodity prices are also likely to encourage inventory build-up across distribution channels.

At the same time, he cautioned that geopolitical tensions, evolving weather conditions and the potential impact of El Niño in India and other key producing regions remain key risks for the business, alongside commodity and currency volatility.

The company expects easing input cost pressures after a correction in global crude oil prices reduced the cost of packaging materials such as laminates, cartons and tin plates.

“We are looking at normal growth in profitability. We have to manage the risks arising from commodity cycles and currencies. We are cautious but consistent on growth,” Desai said.

Having already invested significantly in refining and crushing capacities, Emami Agrotech plans to focus future capital expenditure on brand building and expanding its foods portfolio rather than adding manufacturing capacity.

Desai also flagged increasing competition from low-cost edible oil imports entering India through Nepal, particularly in northern and eastern markets.

Emami Agrotech said it will continue to leverage its multi-location manufacturing and distribution network to strengthen its presence across both edible oils and packaged foods.
