Lindt Opens First India Boutique, Brings Pick & Mix Chocolate Experience to Delhi

Swiss premium chocolate maker Lindt & Sprüngli has strengthened its presence in India with the opening of its first dedicated retail boutique in the country, bringing its global chocolate shopping experience closer to Indian consumers.

The new store opened on September 4 at 5 Worldmark, Aerocity, New Delhi. Spread across approximately 1,100 sq. ft., the boutique offers several of Lindt’s well-known chocolate ranges along with personalised gifting, seasonal collections and an interactive chocolate selection experience.

One of the biggest attractions is the LINDOR Pick & Mix section, where customers can create their own assortment by choosing from more than 25 LINDOR flavours. Some of these varieties are available exclusively at the boutique, giving consumers an opportunity to experiment with different flavours rather than purchasing only pre-packed boxes.

The concept adds an experiential element to chocolate retailing. Instead of simply selecting a pack from a shelf, consumers can choose flavours according to their individual preferences and build their own chocolate assortment.

Alongside LINDOR, the boutique offers Lindt’s EXCELLENCE range of dark chocolates, including high-cocoa varieties ranging from 70 per cent to 90 per cent cocoa. The EXTRA CREAMY milk chocolate range is also available.

Another important addition is Lindt’s newly launched WAFERS range. The products expand the brand’s offering beyond its established chocolate bars and truffles and bring another texture-led format into its Indian portfolio.

Gifting is also an important part of the new store format. Customers can choose from personalised gifting collections, exclusive hampers and seasonal products for different occasions. The boutique also carries baking products.

Specially trained Lindt chocolate advisors are available at the store to guide consumers through different flavour profiles and help them create selections based on their preferences. This makes the boutique more than just a point of sale and gives customers a more personalised chocolate-buying experience.

The choice of Aerocity is also significant. Located within one of New Delhi’s major hospitality and business districts, the store can cater to local consumers as well as domestic and international travellers, corporate customers and premium gift buyers.

Dr Adalbert Lechner, Group Chief Executive Officer of Lindt & Sprüngli, described the opening of the company’s first Indian store as an important milestone and said the brand wants to create different moments of chocolate indulgence, from personal treats to gifting.

The opening also reflects the growing importance of experience-led premium chocolate retail in India. International brands are increasingly looking beyond simple product availability and creating dedicated spaces where consumers can discover flavours, customise purchases and explore premium gifting.

For Lindt, the first boutique provides a physical platform to showcase a wider portfolio while building a closer connection with Indian chocolate consumers. With Pick & Mix, personalised gifting, premium chocolate ranges and the new WAFERS offering under one roof, the company is positioning its India retail entry around both product choice and consumer experience.
