Indian dairy machinery, processing and packaging companies could gain new opportunities in Russia under a partnership between ITE Group and NDDB Dairy Services aimed at connecting Indian suppliers with the country’s dairy processing industry.
The initiative will help Indian engineering companies understand Russian regulatory requirements, certification procedures within the Eurasian Economic Union, equipment servicing requirements and commercial terms for doing business in the market.
NDDB Dairy Services will identify and assess Indian engineering companies whose dairy processing and packaging solutions match the requirements of overseas processors.
As part of the initiative, joint industry webinars will be organised, while selected Indian suppliers will also be encouraged to participate in DairyTech 2027 in Moscow.
Russia’s dairy processing sector is undergoing equipment modernisation, creating demand for machinery, packaging systems, maintenance services and alternative technology suppliers.
This could create an opening for Indian manufacturers of dairy processing equipment, specialised plant machinery, milk collection systems, packaging solutions and cold-chain equipment.
Indian dairy engineering companies are considered competitive in terms of cost and their ability to provide equipment suited to high-volume dairy processing. However, their presence in Eurasian markets has so far remained relatively limited.
Greater access to Russia could therefore help Indian equipment manufacturers expand exports, increase production scale and strengthen their technology and quality standards.
The partnership could also encourage two-way technology exchange, allowing Indian dairies to learn from manufacturing and automation practices being used in Eurasian dairy processing facilities.
The initiative represents a significant step towards expanding India’s dairy engineering footprint beyond the domestic market and creating new export opportunities for the country’s dairy equipment and technology suppliers.
