After Eight brand turns 60, new gift box collection is revealed

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Rowntree’s founding of Nestlé’s famed After Eight brand in York, and the well-known mint chocolate thin is commemorating the occasion with a fresh-new gift box.

Debbie Bowen, Senior Brand Manager for After Eight, said that a collection of five different luxury chocolates called The After Eight Mint Collection (RRP £5) includes the following flavours:

·         Dark Peppermint & Orange Flavour Fondant – smooth orange and peppermint flavoured fondant coated in a rich layer of dark chocolate

·         Dark Chocolate & Peppermint – a soft, indulgent peppermint centre sandwiched between rich dark chocolate

·         Dark Peppermint Crisp – rich dark chocolate studded with crispy sugar pearls

·         Dark Peppermint Fondant – smooth peppermint fondant coated in rich dark chocolate

·         Milk peppermint truffle – a soft, indulgent peppermint centre sandwiched between milk chocolate.

“Since After Eight first appeared on American dinner tables sixty years ago, the brand’s popularity has remained unwavering as we approach our milestone birthday. “Our brand-new Mint Collection is happy to be available this year. Fans have long requested a more formal giving box, and we are grateful to be able to deliver it. We had an amazing reaction from customers when we tested the collection, so we are convinced that mint chocolate lovers everywhere would like it. This assortment has five delicious flavours that include both milk and dark chocolate, so there is something for everyone. The After Eight Mint Collection, which is exquisitely presented in an inlaid gift box, will debut as an exclusive at UK Tesco shops beginning at the end of June and in supermarkets and convenience stores all throughout the country beginning in September.
