Britannia nominates Domino’s Rajneet Kohli as its first standalone CEO

India’s largest biscuit maker, Britannia Industries, is at last going to get its first standalone chief executive, Rajneet Kohli.

Kohli would move from being president and chief business officer at Domino’s Pizza, run by India’s largest food services company, Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL), and now would directly report to Britannia’s managing director, Varun Berry. A formal announcement of the same is expected soon.

Britannia has for the first time made the post of a standalone chief executive. Berry’s role will now include looking after some businesses of the Wadia group.

Kohli joined JFL in mid-2018 after leaving Coca-Cola.

Britannia is aiming for a leadership position in categories like wafers and croissants, evaluating partnerships in dairy with restaurants, and will focus disproportionately on ecommerce, which it said grew 100% year-on-year.
