Amul Dairy Boosts Capacity with Two Advanced SIG Filling Lines for Aseptic Carton Packs

To enhance its production capabilities and cater to evolving market demands, Amul Dairy, India’s leading dairy brand, has inaugurated two cutting-edge SIG filling machines for aseptic carton packs at its Kheda Satellite Dairy plant in Khatraj, Gujarat.

The addition of these state-of-the-art filling lines marks a significant stride for the dairy cooperative, aimed at expanding its product portfolio and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities. With the installation of the SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic and the SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic machines, Amul’s total SIG filling lines now stand at five.

Dr. Amit Vyas, Managing Director of Amul Dairy, emphasized the importance of adapting to market dynamics and embracing innovative technologies. He stated, “The commissioning of two additional state-of-the-art SIG filling lines underscores our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers. The flexibility offered by SIG’s filling lines aligns perfectly with our strategy to introduce diverse product lines catering to various market segments.”

The SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic boasts a capacity of 12,000 carton packs per hour, with the ability to accommodate four different volumes ranging from 500 ml to 1,100 ml on the same line. Meanwhile, the SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic line can fill 24,000 carton packs per hour and offers versatility by supporting nine different volumes from 80ml to 200ml.

Amul Dairy plans to utilize these filling lines for packaging white milk in 200ml and 1,000ml cartons, as well as offering its range of fruit and whey drinks, branded as Amul Tru, in 150-ml aseptic carton packages.

Samuel Sigrist, CEO at SIG, expressed enthusiasm for the strengthened partnership with Amul. He remarked, “The deployment of additional SIG filling machines underscores our commitment to supporting Amul’s vision of delivering a diverse array of high-quality products to consumers.”

Abdelghany Eladib, President & General Manager of IMEA at SIG, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the significance of the new filling lines in serving Indian consumers with excellence.
