Anushka Sharma unveils new millet-based health food brand Millé from Wholsum Foods

Wholsum Foods, a health food startup, has recently launched its second brand, Millé. Millé offers a range of high-plant protein and fibre-rich health foods made from millets, lentils, and legumes. The brand aims to provide customers of all ages with nutritious and delicious options to enhance their meals with quality plant protein.

In response to the growing focus on wellness following the COVID-19 pandemic, Millé’s products cater to health and fitness-conscious individuals. The brand emphasizes the use of all-natural ingredients, low sugar content, and the benefits of plant-based protein and fibre. The product range currently includes breakfast cereals, pancakes, cake mixes, and gluten-free alternatives to rice and wheat.

Anushka Sharma, a Bollywood actor and brand ambassador for Wholsum Foods, shared glimpses of her daily routine on Instagram, highlighting how incorporating Millé into her meals helps her stay active, fight cravings, and enjoy healthy indulgences. Sharma invested in Wholsum Foods in 2022 and has been a customer of the company since then. She is known for advocating healthy living and sustainable eating.

Millé was launched in 2023, which is recognized as the “International Year of Millets” by the United Nations. The brand actively promotes the consumption of millets, a nutrient-rich and climate-smart grain that requires minimal water and does not rely on fertilizers or pesticides. Collaborating with renowned Indian and international chefs, nutritionists, and farmers, Millé aims to bring millets, often referred to as the “mother of all grains,” back into contemporary food culture.

Anushka Sharma expressed her trust in Wholsum Foods, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing delicious millet-based foods over the past seven years. She also highlighted her participation in the millet movement, which aims to reintroduce this ancient supergrain to mainstream food culture due to its climate-friendly nature and nutritional benefits.

The co-founders of Wholsum Foods, Shauravi Malik and Meghana Narayan, described Millé as a supergrain food company that offers sustainable and scientifically backed food options rooted in traditional knowledge. They emphasized the brand’s mission to help people make positive changes towards healthier eating habits using ancient supergrains that are beneficial for both individuals and the planet.
