Bikaji Foods International appoints Sunil Sethi as a non-executive independent director

Bikaji Foods International has announced the appointment of Sunil Sethi as a non-executive independent director. This decision was made through a postal ballot by the company’s shareholders, following his nomination by the board of directors.

Sethi’s term as a director would commence on November 6, 2023, and extend for a duration of five years. Notably, he will not be subject to retirement by rotation.

Sunil Sethi, an experienced corporate professional boasting over three decades of diverse experience in the FMCG and alcoholic beverages sectors, brings a wealth of expertise in sales, marketing, strategy, and general management across international markets. His well-known career includes pivotal roles in esteemed Indian and multinational organizations such as Wipro Consumer, Cadbury India (now Mondelez), Diageo, Colgate Palmolive, Kelloggs, and Fonterra.

Sethi’s appointment reflects Bikaji Foods International’s commitment to enhancing its board with seasoned professionals, ensuring continued growth and success in the dynamic consumer goods industry.

Currently serving as a whole-time director on the board of Modenik Lifestyle, Sethi’s influence extends beyond borders. Having worked extensively across the Asia Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, and some Central Eastern Europe markets, he possesses a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, customer relations, trade dynamics, and cultural nuances.

In addition to his role at Bikaji Foods International, Sethi also contributes as an advisor to the New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) Beachhead Network and serves as an external advisor with Bain Consulting. His past leadership roles include being the chairman of government relations on the Board of the Indian CEO Forum in Sri Lanka, a member of the Board of Governors of AMCHAM (American Chambers), and Chairman of the AMCHAM FMCG Committee, Malaysia, for four years.
