As a result of the GST council’s decision to eliminate the GST exemptions on repackaged, relabeled, and packaged buttermilk, the prices of curd, lassi, and buttermilk are expected to rise.
Dr. R.S. Sodhi, MD, Amul, confirmed that Amul may review prices of these dairy products following the decision.
“We are waiting for the official notification to be released.” “Prices of these products will certainly increase if they are brought under the ambit of GST,” said Sodhi.
