Godrej Agrovet is interested in starting a palm oil processing unit in Telangana

Godrej Agrovet Company Ltd. has conveyed its interest in establishing an integrated palm oil processing unit in collaboration with Malaysia-based company Sime Darby within Khammam district, Telangana. The company’s Managing Director, Balram Singh Yadav, led a delegation that met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the state secretariat today, initiating discussions on the proposed venture.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Reddy assured the delegation of comprehensive support for expanding Godrej Agrovet’s existing palm oil and dairy businesses within the state. Recognizing the potential benefits and opportunities the project could bring to Telangana, the government expressed enthusiasm for fostering this collaboration.

Also, Chief Minister Reddy recommended that Godrej Agrovet actively engage in skill development initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility. Furthermore, he encouraged the delegation to explore the substantial potential in the state’s real estate, furniture, and consumer goods sectors.

The meeting, held at the state secretariat, was attended by State IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, and other key officials. The expressed interest from Godrej Agrovet reflects a promising opportunity for economic growth and collaboration in the region.
