The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has officially announced the 4th edition of World Food India (WFI), the country’s premier international food processing summit, scheduled to take place from September 25 to 28, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The announcement was made during a Curtain Raiser event held at The Lalit Hotel in New Delhi, where Union Food Processing Minister Shri Chirag Paswan unveiled the event’s official brochure, website, mobile app, and promotional video.
World Food India 2025 is poised to be the largest edition yet, with participation anticipated from over 90 countries, more than 2,000 exhibitors, and tens of thousands of stakeholders across the food value chain—from farm to fork. The event will serve as a global platform to showcase India’s capabilities and ambitions in food processing, innovation, investment, and sustainability.
“World Food India is not just a trade event, but a transformative platform to position India as a global hub for food innovation and sustainable food systems,” said Shri Chirag Paswan. “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the event reflects our national commitment to building future-ready food ecosystems.”

Shri Avinash Joshi, Secretary, MoFPI, underscored the sector’s growing contribution to India’s Gross Value Added (GVA) and its leadership in processing milk, millets, and pulses. He highlighted the ministry’s aim to foster inclusive growth, global partnerships, and technology adoption through the event.
The curtain raiser brought together senior officials from Central Ministries, State Governments, Embassies, and key industry representatives. The event also featured a comprehensive presentation by the Ministry outlining the summit’s themes and objectives.
