Odisha has approved 14 investment proposals across 10 districts, with projects spanning food processing, textiles, chemicals, electronics, steel and infrastructure and expected to generate more than 14,000 jobs.
The Odisha government has cleared 14 investment proposals worth a combined ₹2,780.1 crore, strengthening its push to attract industrial investment and create jobs across the state.
The projects were approved by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) at a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. Together, the projects are expected to create 14,104 employment opportunities across 10 districts, supporting the state’s broader industrialisation agenda under its Samruddha Odisha 2036 vision.
The approved investments cover a diverse mix of industries, including food and agro-processing, textiles and apparel, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics, steel and ferro alloys, downstream manufacturing and logistics infrastructure.
Haldiram, MCL among major investors prominent sectors in the latest investment approvals. Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd will invest ₹500 crore to establish a manufacturing facility for snacks and baked products. The project is expected to generate around 800 jobs.
Meanwhile, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has proposed an investment of ₹405.35 crore to develop a private railway siding for the Subhadra Coal Mines in Angul. The infrastructure will connect with the existing Angul-Balaram Siding and the proposed Gopalprasad station under the Khordha Road Division of East Coast Railway.
Another major proposal comes from Prasol Chemicals Ltd, which plans to invest ₹450 crore in a phosphorus-based derivatives manufacturing plant in Ganjam.
Odisha is also attracting investment in the agro-processing segment. Tiwana Nutrition Global Pvt Ltd will invest ₹140 crore in a cattle-feed manufacturing facility, with an estimated employment potential of 2,500 jobs.
Premium Chick Feeds Pvt Ltd has proposed another ₹105.38 crore investment in a chick-feed manufacturing unit, which is expected to generate 1,054 jobs.
The chemical and pharmaceutical sectors account for several additional projects. New Generation Manufacturing Pvt Ltd will establish a coal-tar distillation and by-products manufacturing plant in Sundargarh with an investment of ₹80 crore.
In Nuapada, Haasvan Rasayan Pvt Ltd will invest ₹55 crore in manufacturing bulk drug intermediates, creating around 70 jobs.
The latest approvals underline investments in manufacturing, food processing, electronics and other value-added industries. With ₹2,780 crore in fresh investments and more than 14,000 projected jobs, the projects mark another step in the state’s effort to position itself as a diversified manufacturing and investment destination.
