Swiggy’s affordability-focused 99 Store has emerged as a significant growth driver, accounting for one in every seven food orders on the platform a year after its launch in July 2025.
The service, which offers curated meals and food items priced at Rs 49, Rs 79 and Rs 99, has now expanded to more than 500 cities and has over 1.8 lakh restaurant partners. Swiggy also offers free delivery on orders above Rs 49.
Monthly orders through 99 Store have increased 2.4 times over the past year, with strong demand coming from Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
The platform’s most popular categories include bowls and thalis, South Indian breakfast, burgers, pizzas, beverages, chaats and snacks, highlighting the growing consumer preference for affordable and convenient meal options.
Customers can also access budget-friendly offerings from major quick-service restaurant chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Domino’s Pizza and Taco Bell, alongside regional and local food brands.
According to Swiggy, 99 Store is helping bring occasional online food-ordering customers onto the platform more frequently. The offering is also providing restaurant partners with incremental orders and helping improve customer retention.
The strong growth of 99 Store comes as food-delivery platforms increasingly focus on affordability to expand their customer base and drive higher order frequency across urban and emerging markets.
