Zomato has announced the launch of India’s first-ever large-order fleet, dedicated to serving gatherings of up to 50 people at events such as parties and group functions. CEO Deepinder Goyal revealed the development via a series of updates on X, formerly known as Twitter, highlighting that the new fleet, entirely electric, aims to revolutionize the delivery experience for sizable orders.
Previously, fulfilling such substantial orders relied on multiple regular fleet delivery partners, often resulting in suboptimal customer satisfaction. Goyal expressed enthusiasm for the introduction of the all-electric fleet, designed to seamlessly handle large orders, acknowledging past shortcomings and affirming the commitment to elevate the customer experience.
Goyal underscored that the large order fleet is an ongoing project, with Zomato actively incorporating enhancements to ensure top-notch service. Among these improvements are plans to equip the vehicles with cooling compartments and hot boxes featuring temperature control, guaranteeing that orders arrive in pristine condition.
This initiative marks a significant milestone for Zomato as it continues to innovate and address evolving consumer needs in the food delivery segment.
