Nestlé India Honored with ‘Best Industry – Product Innovation for Mainstreaming Millets’ Award

Nestlé India has been conferred with the ‘Best Industry—Product Innovation for Mainstreaming Millets’ award by Nutrihub, ICAR-IIMR, at the acclaimed International Nutri-Cereal Convention 5.0. The event, hosted by Nutrihub, IIMR-ICAR, successfully brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including policymakers, producers, processors, researchers, academicians, R&D institutes, incubators, startups, micro-entrepreneurs, and NGOs involved in the millets ecosystem. This accolade underscores Nestlé India’s dedication to excellence and innovation in the food industry.

Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, expressed his gratitude, stating, “This recognition is a testament to our commitment to providing nutritious and healthy food options to consumers across the country. It reflects the determination of the Nestlé India team to bring this vision to life.” Narayanan highlighted the company’s introduction of millet-based products, including Nestlé a+ Masala Millet with bajra, Nestlé CEREGROW grain selection with ragi, and MAGGI Oats Noodles with Millet Magic with jowar and ragi, among others.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the Government of India in promoting millets, Narayanan emphasized the need for sustained momentum through partnerships between corporations, academics, and authorities to keep millets at the forefront.
