Annapurna Swadisht Limited has announced that it will acquire a 75 per cent stake in Andri Agro Foods Private Limited in a deal valued at ₹15 crore. The acquisition will be done through a share purchase agreement with the current shareholders. After the deal is completed, Andri Agro Foods will become a subsidiary of Annapurna Swadisht.
This move is part of Annapurna Swadisht’s plan to grow its business and add new food products to its portfolio. Andri Agro Foods manufactures soya-based products such as soya chunks, soya granules, 3D pellets and other protein-rich food items, which are in increasing demand in India and overseas.
Andri Agro Foods has a manufacturing unit in Raniganj, Asansol, West Bengal, with an annual production capacity of about 4.2 lakh tonnes. The facility uses modern Italian and Japanese machinery to maintain quality and large-scale production. The company sells many of its products under the ‘So Best’ brand and also undertakes manufacturing work for other food companies.
Annapurna Swadisht plans to use its wide distribution network to expand the reach of Andri Agro Foods’ products, especially in Eastern India, and later across the country and in international markets. The acquisition is expected to improve production efficiency, strengthen supply chains and help offer competitive pricing.
Company officials said the acquisition supports Annapurna Swadisht’s growth strategy by helping it enter new segments in grocery and premium snacks, while also creating opportunities for exports. The deal follows Annapurna Swadisht’s earlier acquisition of Madhur Confectioners Private Limited, as the company continues to expand across food and packaged goods categories.
