Nestlé has chosen Hyderabad as the location for its new Global Capability Centre (GCC), strengthening its long-term investment in India and expanding the company’s technology-enabled global business services network.
The facility will be established under Nestlé Business Services India Pvt. Ltd., the shared services arm of the Nestlé Group, and will be developed in partnership with Genpact. The collaboration aims to enhance Nestlé’s global operations by integrating advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation and data-driven process intelligence.
The new centre is expected to support a broader range of business functions across global markets while helping the company simplify, standardise and scale its operations.
Luca Fichera, Head of Nestlé Business Solutions, said the Hyderabad GCC marks a significant milestone in the company’s global transformation strategy.
“This represents a positive next chapter in our growth journey. As we strengthen our capabilities in India, our people, partners and vendors will remain central to this journey. The investment reflects our confidence in India’s talent and capabilities, and our commitment to building a more agile, scalable and technology-enabled services network for Nestlé,” he said.
Fichera added that Hyderabad was selected for its mature technology ecosystem, world-class infrastructure and growing stature as one of India’s leading destinations for Global Capability Centres.
“With Hyderabad’s strong ecosystem and Genpact’s expertise, we are well positioned to deliver greater value, consistency and innovation across our global operations,” he added.
Under the partnership, Genpact will provide expertise in process intelligence, artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation to help modernise Nestlé’s business services and improve operational efficiency.
Tarun Chopra, Global Consumer Packaged Goods Business Leader at Genpact, said the collaboration reflects a broader shift among multinational companies towards digitally enabled business operations.
“This partnership demonstrates how leading global enterprises are reimagining business services as technology-enabled, data-driven operations. By combining Nestlé’s global scale with Genpact’s expertise in process intelligence, AI, data and automation, NBS Hyderabad is designed to deliver greater consistency, agility and measurable business impact,” he said.
The announcement further strengthens Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s fastest-growing Global Capability Centre hubs, attracting multinational companies seeking access to skilled talent, digital expertise and a supportive technology ecosystem. For Nestlé, the new GCC forms part of its broader strategy to build future-ready capabilities that can support its global business while deepening its presence in one of the company’s most important growth markets.
