Nestlé India’s Exports Surge 35.6% as Maggi and Nescafé Expand Global Footprint

New Maggi launches in Canada and Europe, alongside Nescafé Sunrise’s entry into Lebanon, drive export momentum as the FMCG major posts strong Q1 growth despite geopolitical uncertainties.

Nestlé India delivered a strong start to FY27, reporting a 35.6% year-on-year rise in exports during the June quarter, driven by the international expansion of its flagship Maggi and Nescafé brands even as global trade continues to grapple with geopolitical tensions.

The company’s export business emerged as one of the strongest growth engines during the quarter, complemented by robust domestic demand that helped total sales climb 25.4% to ₹6,363.3 crore, supported by higher volumes and sustained consumer demand across product categories.

“We delivered a strong quarter with sales growth of 25.4%, led by volume growth. Exports delivered 35.6% growth despite ongoing geopolitical headwinds,” said Manish Tiwary, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestlé India.

The FMCG giant strengthened its international presence by introducing new Maggi noodle variants in Canada, expanding the Maggi portfolio across Europe, and launching larger Maggi sauce packs for the hotel, restaurant and catering (HoReCa) segment. The company also expanded the overseas reach of Nescafé Sunrise, beginning exports to Lebanon following earlier launches in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Nestlé India said the export momentum reflects its growing role as a manufacturing hub for global markets. During the quarter, the company was also accorded 4-Star Export House status, recognising its contribution to India’s export ecosystem and reinforcing its commitment to the government’s Make in India initiative.

Growth was broad-based across the business, with all four product categories registering double-digit gains. While exports outpaced the domestic market, sales within India also grew 25%, underpinned by strong volume-led demand.

The company highlighted continued momentum across modern retail formats, with quick commerce emerging as a significant growth driver alongside organised retail and out-of-home consumption channels.

Nestlé India’s latest performance underscores the increasing importance of exports in its long-term growth strategy, as the company leverages its Indian manufacturing base to serve international markets while continuing to strengthen its presence across both developed and emerging economies.
