Licious Targets India’s Protein Craze with New Ready-to-Eat Chicken Range

Licious has entered the ready-to-eat protein space with Daily Protein Fix, a fully cooked chicken breast range designed to deliver 30 grams of protein per pack while catering to consumers seeking convenient, high-protein meals.

New Delhi, August 26, 2026: Indian consumers’ growing focus on protein is opening up new opportunities for food brands, and meat delivery company Licious is betting on convenience as the next battleground.

The company has launched Daily Protein Fix, a range of fully cooked chicken breasts available in five variants: Kalimirch, Tandoori, Lemon Herbed, Cajun and Herbed Garlic.

Each 200-gram pack contains 30 grams of protein, with calorie counts ranging from 217 to 311 depending on the variant. The products are priced at Rs 229 per pack.

The range is designed around speed and convenience. Consumers can heat the chicken in a microwave or pan in approximately two minutes, while the products can also be eaten directly or incorporated into other meals.

The range is currently available through the Licious app across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

The launch reflects the company’s attempt to position chicken not just as a conventional meat product but as an everyday source of convenient nutrition.

Tavleen Bhatia, Business Head—Ready to Cook Category at Licious, said the growing popularity of protein as a food trend will make consumers more attentive to the difference between meaningful nutritional value and marketing claims.

“Protein is everywhere, which is a positive shift in how consciously people are thinking about food,” Bhatia said, adding that consumers are likely to increasingly distinguish genuine nutrition from “protein-washing.”

According to Bhatia, Daily Protein Fix is built around “real chicken, fully cooked and fresh,” with the product designed to provide 30 grams of protein in two minutes.

Protein has moved increasingly into the mainstream of everyday food consumption, with consumers seeking convenient ways to incorporate more of it into their diets.

Licious is betting that whole-food protein can occupy a stronger position in this market by combining a familiar source—chicken—with ready-to-eat convenience.

The new range also expands the company’s ready-to-cook portfolio into a format aimed at consumers who want minimal preparation, potentially putting ready-to-eat chicken alongside protein bars, shakes and other convenience-led nutrition products competing for the same consumer occasion.

With Daily Protein Fix, Licious is effectively betting that the next evolution of India’s protein market will not just be about how much protein a product contains, but how quickly and conveniently consumers can get it onto their plates.
