Jubilant FoodWorks in Talks to Transfer Dunkin’ India Rights to Inspire Brands

Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL) is in discussions with US-based restaurant major Inspire Brands to sell its India franchise rights for Dunkin’, as the current agreement between the two parties nears its end in December 2026.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the talks are aimed at facilitating a smooth transition of Dunkin’s India operations ahead of the formal termination of Jubilant’s franchise pact. Inspire Brands, which acquired Dunkin’ globally in 2020, is expected to subsequently appoint a new local franchise partner to drive the brand’s next phase of growth in the country.

A spokesperson for Dunkin’ confirmed the company’s continued commitment to India, stating that the brand sees the market as a key part of its long-term international expansion strategy and intends to grow its presence with a new franchise group.

Inspire Brands already has an operational footprint in India through its association with the Graviss Group, which manages the Baskin Robbins chain in the country.

Earlier, Jubilant FoodWorks had informed stock exchanges of its decision to exit the Dunkin’ India franchise upon expiry of the agreement on December 31, adding that it would explore options for transferring the rights in consultation with Dunkin’.

Jubilant, India’s largest food services company, continues to focus on its core growth drivers, including Domino’s Pizza and Popeyes, as it reshapes its portfolio strategy.
