RadiPure pea protein from Cargill is now available in the META and India markets

Cargill is extending its RadiPure pea protein into the Middle East, Turkey, Africa (META), and India as more people add plant-based meals to their diets, which it claims would enable food and beverage makers in the area adapt to changing market trends.

“There is no one protein source that can feed the entire globe. While consumers are seeking for ways to boost their protein consumption, they do not want to sacrifice flavour or texture. Our RadiPure pea protein assists us in meeting this expanding market need “Cargill Foods META enrichment category head Banu Oksun remarked.

RadiPure pea protein, according to Cargill, has the solubility and flavour profile that clients want for food application development. Pea protein is a fantastic choice for a wide range of applications, including dairy and dairy alternatives, snacks, bakery, plant-based meat replacements, vegan, and vegetarian solutions, thanks to these advantages and its emulsifying, viscosifying, and gelation capabilities.

Pea protein is well rated nutritionally due to its amino acid composition and good digestion. The RadiPure brand from Cargill has a minimum of 80 percent protein. It can be used in conjunction with other plant-based proteins to provide a comprehensive protein profile. Pea protein also has label appeal, according to Cargill, because it is a well-known ingredient that allows for useful product claims like non-GMO, dairy-free, and gluten-free.

“We are determined to provide creative solutions that enable our clients in the META area win in the fast increasing plant-based business arena,” Oksun added.

“With the addition of RadiPure pea protein to our product line, our clients now have access to one of the most versatile plant proteins on the market.”

As demand for protein-rich, plant-based meals grows throughout META, Cargill is extending its plant-based protein options. According to the report, 83 percent of META consumers always or almost always chose high-protein foods or beverages. Cargill states that in the previous five years, the number of products with high protein and plant-based claims has climbed by 31%.

Cargill has a new application centre and an ingredient blending manufacturing site in Orhangazi, Turkey, which will serve as a regional focus for dairy innovation.
